This is fundamentally a caring protective & intelligent Breed.   I have had the great fortune to live & work with a variety of truly wonderful animals in my life, most of whom have been equine & canine. With  PI  it took a time to really bond, when we did however, she absolutely ticked every box for me & I found myself joining the ranks of the many who say they would not like to even imagine life without an Estrela!    Marcia Dovey 'Sturtmoor' once told me, and none know Estrelas better  'if you get it right with this breed, you can find yourself with the canine soul mate you may always have dreamed of''.
For PI & I that has proved to be true.
